As part of Auckland Cocktail Week join Mat Thomson, co-founder of Thomson Whisky, for a one-of-a-kind live barrel charring and coopering demonstration. Experience the craft behind whisky making as Mat chars an oak cask over open flame before taking the barrel apart to reveal the inner workings and impact of oak on flavour development. Guests will also enjoy a guided tasting of the Thomson Whisky range, with a complimentary gift for all hospo staff who attend.

Please note: this session will take place outdoors due to the live fire and use of coopering tools during the demonstration.
